PARIS — Alain Mikli International Group has appointed Antonio Bortuzzo chief executive officer.
Bortuzzo, who has been ceo of Marcolin for the past five years, will spearhead international operations, including an aggressive expansion strategy in the U.S., marking the eyewear brand’s two decades in the American market.
He will also manage the group for growth (the company projects to triple growth in the next four years), including the rollout of new collections such as the recently announced partnership with Jean Paul Gaultier. Most recently, six new stores opened — four in Asia and two in the U.S. — and more boutiques are expected to open in both continents.
Bortuzzo succeeds Dominique Alba, who during his two years in the role was instrumental in strategic planning. Alba will continue to serve as shareholder and director.
