For the first time in the brand’s 20-year history, Carolina Herrera is joining forces with a licensed partner for eyewear. The brand has signed a licensing agreement with De Rigo Vision SpA for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Carolina Herrera New York and CH Carolina Herrera eyewear and sunglasses.
Caroline Brown, president of Carolina Herrera, said, “De Rigo shares the core values that are essential to Carolina Herrera respecting the highest level of commitment to product — design, manufacturing and genuine craftsmanship.”
Brown added, “For our business, this partnership brings a wonderful new addition to our product portfolio with the expression of both the luxury and lifestyle brands under Herrera today.”
De Rigo’s portfolio of licensed brands includes Celine, Escada, Givenchy and Loewe.
CH Carolina Herrera is the secondary collection of Carolina Herrera and covers women’s, men’s and children’s wear, as well as some home products. The label now has 70 freestanding stores and 152 shop-in-shops worldwide, and launched a flagship in Paris this month.
