MYKITA’S DESIGNS ON NEW YORK
Marking a robust 10th anniversary this year, Berlin eyewear firm Mykita is also celebrating its first American store. New York’s Crosby Street is home to the brand’s eighth signature shop, which opened July 17 and features an in-house optometrist for instant vision gratification, as well as a capsule collection exclusive to the 1,300-square-foot SoHo location.
The brand sells in more than 60 countries, with top markets including home base Germany, France and the U.S.
“Since the U.S. accounts for around 20 percent of our international sales, the opening of the first Mykita shop in the U.S. marks a milestone in terms of future expansion and retail design,” said cofounder Moritz Krueger.
