Liu Jo Sets Eyewear Deal

The Italian fashion company signed a licensing pact with Marchon.

North American eyewear multinational Marchon Eyewear, Inc. has signed a licensing agreement with Italian fashion company Liu Jo for the production and worldwide distribution of the contemporary brand’s first line of women’s sunglasses and optical frames.
 
Liu Jo’s first eyewear collection will be available at the brand’s flagship stores, along with selected points of sale in the world, starting from January.
 
“We are developing Liu Jo as a brand that represents a style universe and eyewear is a natural evolution of our strategy,” said Liu Jo vice president and owner Marco Marchi. “We are very excited to announce this partnership with Marchon because we are confident that due to their experience and knowledge, the new eyewear collections will express all the glamour and elegance that distinguish our brand.”
 
“This is an exciting partnership that will add a new point of view into our global portfolio,” Marchon managing director EMEA Nicola Zotta. “We are looking forward to working with Liu Jo as we enter the marketplace with an innovative product presentation that speaks directly to the Liu Jo brand and their particular (Italian) individual DNA.”
 
Founded in 1995 in Carpi, Liu Jo currently distributes its collections in 44 countries across Europe, Africa and Asia, through 220 flagships stores. The brand’s collections are also available in 4,500 multibrand boutiques worldwide.
 
Marchon produces and distributes under license the eyewear collections of a number of international fashion brands, including Calvin Klein, Chloé, Diane von Furstenberg, Emilio Pucci, Jil Sander, Karl Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Nike, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Valentino.
