MILAN – Italian eyewear giant Luxottica Group has inked a multiyear licensing agreement with Ferrari SpA for the design, manufacture, distribution and sale of a range of Ray-Ban and Ferrari co-branded eyewear.The agreement strengthens the partnership between the two companies that was first launched on July 2016, with Ray-Ban’s sponsorship of the Ferrari Formula One car debuted during the British Grand Prix in Silverstone. Back then, the Ray-Ban logo was featured on the SF16-H Formula One car.The sponsorship was also renewed and involves the Ray-Ban logo appearing on the Formula One red cars of drivers Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.The lengths of the agreements were not disclosed.Along with Ray-Ban, Luxottica owns the Oakley, Vogue Eyewear, Persol, Oliver Peoples and Alain Mikli labels. In addition, the company manufactures and distributes the eyewear collections of a range of fashion houses, including Giorgio Armani, Burberry, Chanel, Coach, Michael Kors, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co. and Versace.
