MILAN — Eyewear maker Marcolin is consolidating its luxury portfolio through the renewal of its licensing agreement with Montblanc.

The deal for the design, production and worldwide distribution of the luxury label’s sunglasses and optical frames was inked for the first time in 2001 and has been extended through December 2016.

“We are extremely proud to continue the partnership with Montblanc, an exclusive brand that combines class and tradition, refinement, quality and innovation,” said style and licensing officer Maurizio Marcolin. “More importantly, this marks the extension of an already long-term relationship between our two companies seeking to capture additional opportunities for growth that exist for this highly exclusive and iconic luxury brand.”
