Odin, the directional New York retailer, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and is planning a series of programs to mark the occasion. Its first initiative is a sunglass collaboration with Matsuda, a handmade Japanese eyewear brand, which itself is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2014.The glasses, which are being shown to buyers in Paris this week, include two styles: One is an aviator with hand-lacquered decor on the temples and Matsuda and Odin logos on the tips. The model is available in black, white or antique gold, and will retail for $475. The second is a classic silhouette with a keyhole bridge. It includes Matsuda’s signature riveted hinge and an inlaid Matsuda x Odin logo. This is available in black or chestnut brown acetate and will retail for $385. The sunglasses will be shown to editors in New York on Thursday.
