BOGUS RAY-BANS SEIZED: Luxottica Group this week cheered a ruling by the United Arab Emirates’ Consumer Protection Center ordering the destruction of 143,700 pairs of counterfeit Ray-Ban sunglasses. The sunglasses were found during a raid of a China Optical Center distributor, which was also fined $4,000. The distributor could be closed for up to six months if it is caught selling fakes again. “Counterfeit activity greatly damages not only manufacturers and distributors of original products, but also trademark owners while also misleading and deceiving clients and consumers,” said Luxottica.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
