Remembrance of Things Past

Chloë Sevigny wore Bass Weejuns growing up in Connecticut and now, the Big Love actress-cum-designer’s latest fixation gives a nod to those roots. She has teamed with indie retailer Opening Ceremony to create a footwear collection with Bass. Says Sevigny: “They are just classic, great little shoes and comfortable to wear.” She added, she notes, a “twist, a kind of preppy city vibe” to the traditional styles. Dubbed Bass|Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, the unisex footwear includes a two-tone penny loafer and a modified spectator boot in cranberry suede with leather insets that pays homage to suburban style ($200, Opening Ceremony, New York, 212.219.2688).
