Calleen Cordero and the mono-monikered Zubin, a pioneer of tie-dye in the Sixties, are hashing out a line of groovy shoes, bags, belts and hair accessories this fall. Zubin, who once designed custom threads for Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, met Cordero at a retreat in Ojai, Calif., where the designer talked him into collaborating. “When Calleen showed me her line, I thought it was more artwear than footwear,” he says. Available at Madison, Beverly Hills (310.273.4787), prices range from $94 for a headband up to $539 for a pair of pumps. Custom pieces are available upon request.
