Setting the tone for creative director Bruno Frisoni’s presentation was a pair of sexy legs clad in stilettos set up behind a glass peepshow wall. The stiletto, invented by Monsieur Vivier, is both classy and sexy or, as Frisoni says, for “a type of woman who is equally at home downtown as she is uptown. The actress Fanny Ardant came to mind as well Eighties disco queens from Paris’ Le Palace.” There were ladylike patent leather flats, multicolored suede totes and bags in signature geometric patterns, while studded patent leather pieces as well as biker boots and bags were perfect for south of 14th Street. A pink mixed-media clutch was very Jean Michel Basquiat, and those done in luxurious mink took a subversive turn in hot pink and neon yellow.
