Bruno Frisoni plunged into Roger Vivier’s archives for fall, his fifth Rendez-Vous collection for the accessories house. The result — from hot-pink mink pumps and matching Prism clutches to Nico-inspired over-the-knee boots — was inevitably very Sixties. Comma heels, an iconic Vivier design alongside the better-known stiletto, were a recurring theme, whether on François Lesage-embroidered midheel styles in bright hues or more modern 10-centimeter takes on Space Age black-and-silver leather.

“Now that we have a real, new brand identification as an accessories maison, we are strong enough to edit the archives so that we can wear them today,” Frisoni said, describing his connection between 18th century and Space Age inspirations. “It was tough for me to do, because I wanted to be so true to the original.”
