And, after expanding the range to include a pair of shoe protectors shaped like women’s ballet pumps last year, Ringdal has added high-heeled  galoshes to his repertoire. The shoe protectors, called City Slippers, are made from the company’s signature rubber, which adapts to the shape of the shoe. Meanwhile, the slippers’ fabric lining helps to shine leather shoes while you wear them. The slippers are available in low-, medium- and high-heeled shoe styles, in colors from black to olive green and tomato red. And, to cement the slippers’urban credentials, their soles are embossed with street maps of Paris, New York and Tokyo. They will be sold at select Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s stores beginning in September, and will retail from $110 for a  low-heeled version to $160 for the highest-heeled version. “Our desire to develop a tribute to the style and function of the heeled shoe has been a fascinating and complex journey,” says Ringdal. “The [slipper] shields the delicate materials of the shoes and soles from rain, dirt, wear and tear.”
