New York Fashion Week is almost here, and two accessories firms — Anya Hindmarch and Celestina — are getting a jump-start on the action. At Hindmarch's presentation on Tuesday, she delivered a polished collection that was inspired, she said, by her mother in the Seventies, with colorblocking, geometric lines, rich fabrics and lots of textures — most notably a sueded corduroy.
The evening before, Celestina Ocampo showed a lineup that channeled the Filipino tribal craftsmen who produce her bags. Tattoo-like designs similar to those on the backs of the artisans were burnt into wood minaudières to beautiful effect. Crocodile and Mongolian lambswool day bags were also new additions to the season, as well as fox and Mongolian lambswool vests and wraps. Next on the horizon for Ocampo is a collaboration she just inked with fellow luxury brand Leiber for a onetime joint collection.

"I thought years ago that [Jaime] was going to bite the bullet. [The writers] knew who would be left standing, but they never told us so it was this constant guessing game," says @gameofthrones actor @nikolajwilliamcw.
