Fashion publicist Celeste Miller has transitioned from representing accessories to making them with the launch of her luxury accessories line, Royal & Rolande. Each of the custom-made fine Italian handbags features a plate that can be monogrammed per customer request. Silhouettes include satchels, hobos, day clutches and evening clutches incorporating exotic materials such as eel, calf hair and a patent finish on leather. The bags wholesale from $275 to $1,200 and can be ordered at the brand’s Web site, royalandrolande.com. “It was all about doing something custom and personal that transcends the season,” Miller says. “I tried to create the perfect [pieces], combining the right dimensions, functional aspects and luxurious materials.” In coming seasons, Miller plans to expand the line to include shoes, weekend bags and small leather goods.
