Stephen Lineberger is joining GoldToeMoretz as president and chief operating officer and president Jim Williams is retiring at the end of 2008.

Lineberger was most recently with Hanesbrands Inc., where he served as senior vice president and general manager, international. He was responsible for the business operations in 10 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America, plus Canada.
Lineberger will report to John Moretz, chief executive officer and chairman of the Newton, N.C.-based socks company.
“Stephen is a proven business leader with the credentials and experience to lead our management team, accelerate our growth and improve the efficiency of our fulfillment organization,” Moretz said.
The company’s “strong brands, broad customer base and leadership within the category provide an exceptional foundation for future growth,” Lineberger said.
Williams is an industry veteran of over 37 years, with “20 years at the helm of Gold Toe Brands and the last two with the recently merged GoldToeMoretz,” Moretz said. “We appreciate Jim’s leadership and continued support during his transition toward retirement.”
GoldToeMoretz was formed two years ago when Gold Toe Brands merged with Moretz Inc. The combined company offers a variety of owned, licensed and private label brands of dress, casual and athletic socks to the world market. In addition to the signature Gold Toe brand of men’s and women’s dress socks, the company also produces Under Armour, New Balance, Power Sox, Auro, GT and Silver Toe brands sold by larger retailers in the mass and department stores, as well as sports specialty marketplaces.
