OUT OF THIS WORLD SCARVES: “Le Petite Prince” author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is getting a special birthday present, courtesy of Slow Factory and artist Shantell Martin. The scarf company has teamed with Martin on a collection of scarves inspired by the classic fantasy novella in honor of the author, who would have been 115 years old on June 29. The scarf features a unique collage of the Prince on Rosetta’s Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko mixed with Martin’s drawings, originally from her “Dream” series, printed on silk. The design is available in pocket and large sizes, retailing for $55 and $175, respectively. The collaboration, sold on Slow Factory’s Web site, also coincides with the latest film adaptation of the French book, a stop-animation version due in theaters on July 29.
