LONDON — The British Fashion Council has unveiled plans for a showcase of fine jewelry from U.K. designers that will make its debut during London Fashion Week in February.
Sponsored by the International Palladium Board, which promotes the use of the precious metal, the show will be curated by Stephen Webster. BFC Rock Vault will take place alongside the shows at Somerset House.
Among the 10 jewelers who have been selected to show their collections are Hannah Martin, Katie Hillier, Jordan Askill, and Tomasz Donocik.
The designers will create their own installations and will also receive business mentoring support. A launch event will be held on February 18th at Somerset House.
“As a London jewelry designer and a craftsman, it gives me great pleasure to be curating Rock Vault,” said Webster in a statement Friday.
“Over the last 10 years, jewelry has become an integral part of both men’s and women’s wardrobes. This meteoric rise has meant jewelry designers have been crying out for inclusion within the established fashion platforms. We are all very excited to realize this vision.”
