Childhood musings have worked their way into fall accessories, with designers stringing whimsical memories up as charms, brooches and bracelets. Consider Chanel’s carousel necklace (left), a shrunken version of its fall runway set and a luxe ode to the carefree playground days of yesteryear. Meanwhile, Servane Gaxotte gets girly with tutu pins and scribbled heart pendants, while Alexandra François channels childhood surrealism with a collection inspired by the characters of Alice in Wonderland.

“Alice,” says François, “was perfect for me, a very pretty girl in a very nice dress mixed with a very strange story in a very fantastic world with bizarre characters.”
