“I felt it was time to move up a level,” said Delfina Delettrez, who has added a substantial number of fine jewelry pieces to her line, which until now has been focused on silver and enamel pieces.
The designer, who has always favored a Goth vibe, continued in that mood with such pieces as an oxidized silver skull ring with trembling rubies that form a heart, and a spooky group of articulated-skeleton hand jewelry. Delettrez raided her grandma’s cupboards for her presentation on Tuesday at Paris’ Le Grand Véfour restaurant, serving up her latest gems on the family silver.
Curious creatures from her line of cocktail rings — a curling gold-and-diamond crocodile or a black diamond bear — came threaded on knives and forks or nestled in spoons. Other wonders, such as an articulated-bat necklace with translucent ivy-green enamel wings, were presented on cake platters. The designer’s new sunglasses line, made in collaboration with Alain Mikli, was also on show, including a square red plastic style with a silver spider charm and its white web perched in one corner.
Peter Kim's Los Angeles-based premium denim line has always had its finger on the pulse of youth. This season, novelty is back in a way reminiscent of early Aughts, with studs, lace-ups, racing waxed denim and more. "I was driving back on Saturday afternoon from the beach, and I just saw this sign saying 'Skydiving for $95.' And I was like, I can't not sky dive for $95," says Tom Bateman about a moment in Hawaii while shooting "Snatched." #wwdeye (📷: @vsteves; Interview by @ktauer; Styled by @thealexbadia)
