Delfina Delettrez presented her delightful jewelry collection at the Almine Rech Gallery in the Marais district, displaying the pieces on plates suspended in air by high-powered magnets expelling the opposite force. The designer also played with the idea of time by creating what looked like faceted watch faces out of cut-rock quartz pieces in purple, green and orange placed on one side of a stark metallic bracelet; other versions were featured on both a leather and chain-link watch. “The absence of time ensures that you are never too late,” said Delettrez, referring to the mechanic-less watches.
To add to the surrealistic nature of the collection, cocktails and sweets were served in makeup containers — mojitos were sipped from roll-on lip glosses while Nutella-like mousse was sucked from makeup tubes.
