Things that look perfect on the surface can be the most flawed — which is why founder Eva Marcus strives for originality and imperfection in her designs. No two pieces are alike.

Eva Marcus Jewelry, where Marcus uses classic metalsmithing techniques to create the pieces in her namesake line.

“My solid, bold statement pieces exude confidence without screaming for attention — just like the women I design for. The dense weight of the jewelry is intentional,” Marcus said. “I want to create modern classics — jewelry that’s beautiful but that also has substance.”

Marcus fuses an ancient cuttlebone casting technique with modern elements, such as hand-knit chains and mixed metals. The result: distressed and antiqued necklaces, bracelets and rings in combinations of sterling silver, bronze and yellow and rose gold.

Marcus’ debut collection, which will retail from $300 to $2,000, launches for spring and will be available at her Web site, evamarcusjewelry.com
