Runway shows aren’t just for fashion designers. Dana Lorenz sent her spring collection of Fallon costume jewelry down the catwalk Wednesday night, fulfilling a longtime dream. “I’ve wanted to have a fashion show since I was in high school,” Lorenz quipped.
Things opened with four large screens projecting a video by Marcel Wepper of a tough and sexy blonde, dressed in black leather and denim, committing a jewelry heist. Then out came similarly outfitted models — in black separates designed for the show by Ohne Titel, along with some vintage Nineties-style denim — all draped in piles of Fallon jewelry. Fringe-chain details came on necklaces and brooches pinned to jeans; spikes covered cuffs and the brim of an Albertus Swanepoel biker hat, and pearls and gemstones were layered on necklaces, bracelets and even a leather cross-body bag just the right size to hold a cell phone.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
