Mischa Barton, known for wearing headbands and tiaras, has signed a deal for her own line of hair accessories.
Barton has partnered with accessories designer Stacey Lapidus on a line called Mischa Barton for Stacey Lapidus. The offering is a range of headbands in materials that include silk, feathers, crystals and pearls. The line ranges from $40 to $200.
“Accessories are fun and they’re easy to wear,” Barton said. “I’ve always loved headbands and have worn Stacey’s headbands for a while.”
There are plans to distribute the line to specialty chains and independent boutiques. The line will be unveiled at a preview today at the AMPR suite at the Bryant Park Hotel in Manhattan.
Lapidus’ signature line, which includes hair accessories and costume jewelry, is sold at stores such as Hilary Rush in Los Angeles and Charlotte Ronson in New York. That line retails from $70 to $500.
“My collections have always possessed an appeal for the woman who embraces fashion and dresses with a style that appears effortless,” Lapidus said. “This partnership will offer women pieces that remain classic in design, yet resist tradition by infusing a fun, flirty feel.”
