Contemporary cashmere line Emma & Posh is joining with stylist Phillip Bloch to launch a collaborative collection for holiday. For its kickoff season, the plan is to keep the collection, called Phillip Bloch for Emma & Posh, somewhat exclusive, targeting only 30 stores, including Henri Bendel and Jeffrey’s.“I’ve been fixing other people’s clothes for years,” said Bloch, whose client lineup includes Vivica A. Fox, who he said will wear the line for the premiere of her new VH1 show “Glam God.” “I’ve had to move a zipper, take feathers off things, add feathers to things, add sequins. Pnini and Bloch, who met through a mutual friend this spring, projected the new line will do about $1 million in its first year, and with the growth of the core collection, together Emma & Posh is projected to do between $3 million and $4 million in 2009. Pnini and Bloch called the partnership long-term.“We are taking my knowledge of cashmere and construction and Phillip’s attention to detail and inspiration,” Pnini said. “I keep telling him, ‘We have lots of collections to go — you don’t have to put all of your inspirations into one collection!’”
