Chinese fine jeweler Qeelin has made its U.K. debut with a space in Selfridges’ Wonder Room. The 172-square-foot space is the label’s sixth global outpost.
The store’s design is heavily inspired by the Far East, with lacquered red walls symbolizing good luck in Chinese culture, and a display counter made from glass and dark wenge wood. Shaped like an elongated letter W, it is symbolic of the bridges found in oriental gardens. Qeelin was founded in 2004 by designer Dennis Chan and chief executive officer Guillaume Brochard.
