Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Eva Longoria Parker are among the celebrities that have been donning Bochic fine jewelry since its inception in 2004. Now, co-founder Miriam Salat is launching a signature costume collection that shares in her fine jewelry line’s colorful aesthetic, but has its own appeal, as well.

Miriam Salat jewelry exudes a bohemian spirit among its oversize pendants, rings, earrings and cuffs. The pieces feature jewel-toned layers of resin, sterling silver and cubic zirconia adorned with tribal motifs.

“My inspiration for the line was the idea of a ‘Gypset’ — gypsy meets jet-set,” said Salat. “We wanted to combine the vintage look, but in a modern form, and I wanted to incorporate the use of silver, as we believe it has added value in the costume jewelry market.”

Retailing from $145 to $1,295, Miriam Salat jewelry is available at Neiman Marcus stores this spring, with a wider distribution to department and specialty stores aimed for fall. Salat wouldn’t disclose financial expectations but said the collection could double in size over the next year.
