Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, so why not have a pair that are more than 35 carats each, that happen to be d-color flawless and Type 11a? Steinmetz Diamonds will unveil two such round brilliant-cut stones, christened Yin Yang, at Bloomberg Link’s Hedge Funds 2010 today.

“We strive to have the rarest, most beautiful diamonds available on the planet,” explained Nir Livnat, chairman of Steinmetz Diamonds, “which is why we are so delighted to be unveiling Yin Yang, a matching pair of flawless diamonds, the likes of which the world has never seen.”

Found in southern Africa, they are the largest pair of identical diamonds ever cut by man, at 35.61 and 35.77 carats, and are expected to fetch in excess of $25 million through Sotheby’s Diamonds in partnership with Steinmetz.

These beauties will have a few ladies-in-waiting on display that include a pair of 5-carat fancy intense blues; an extremely rare 20-carat fancy purplish pink, and a 75-carat radiant intense yellow diamond. Talk about a dream gift.
