NEW YORK — “Heirloom: Style, Materials and Sustainability,” is the theme of the 11th annual New York Fashion Conference, organized by Initiatives in Art and Culture, that will take place Dec. 4 and 5 at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center.
The seminar will focus on objects that are traditionally conceived as heirlooms, such as jewelry, watches and wedding gowns, as well as the materials and craft techniques used to create them. It will also include discussion linking heirlooms to sustainability.
