NEW YORK — Elie Tahari is introducing his first jewelry collection for T Tahari.
The line is being manufactured in partnership with K&M Associates, and will include necklaces, bracelets, statement rings, earrings and brooches priced at suggested retail from about $28 for earrings to $300 for necklaces. Among the details are black diamond briolette-cut stones and clear crystals, and silhouettes include tassels, hoops and linear drops for earrings.
Tahari has had jewelry pieces in his main line for three years, but this is a first for T Tahari. Although the jewelry won’t launch at retail until fall, Tahari is offering a preview of it today during his appearance on “The View.” He will offer his take on fashion, complete with a fashion show of five spring looks during the show’s Fashion Fridays segment, and each audience member will receive a gold tassel necklace from the new line.
The show was taped on Tuesday, and Tahari got to meet the day’s other guests, Keanu Reeves and James Caan, as well as the show’s five hosts — Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sherry Shepherd, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Whoopi Goldberg — who were all sporting Tahari, of course. “Seeing all the ladies in my clothes was such a thrill for me. Joy came into my dressing room wearing my denim linen blazer and talked for a while, and Elizabeth looked amazing in the gold lamé pleated skirt that is in our ad campaign,” Tahari said. “I told Whoopi that I want to do a line of sneakers in honor of her because she loves sneakers.”

The image depicts McCoy’s grandparents and father in London’s Trafalgar Square in the Seventies. “My work often features lots of sentimental objects.” #wwdeye
