MILAN — This year will mark a new phase for Furla, leveraging an 18 percent increase in revenues in 2012, lifted by an expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, a 93 percent increase in travel retail sales and the development of its own online store.
“We are entering a different, more accelerated stage of development — we had been rowing and now we are sailing,” Giovanna Furlanetto, chairman of the accessories firm, said in an exclusive interview. “We have been investing in the company patiently, quietly and with a long-term view for so long, and now we are reaping the rewards.”
