Talk about easy listening: Samsonite’s Black Label X’Lite Shadow travel case is tricked out with speakers for MP3 players so globe-trotters can set the musical mood wherever they land. The speakers are tucked inside the case and connect to a cable in the front of the bag. Still a prototype, it’s due out later this year, leaving loads of time to fine-tune that playlist.
But for those who can’t stop the music, Montreal-based brand Want Les Essentiels de la Vie has fused functionality and elegance, creating a chic, white version of its De Gaulle leather laptop tote, complete with an iPod pocket, starting at $975.

"That's something that resonates with me too because I'm so locked into a number. If I go over that number it completely ruins my day so it's nice to get detached from the number on the scale." - Chelsea Handler on Kelly LeVeque's book "Body Love." #wwdeye (📷: John Salangsang)
