PARIS — Swiss watchmaker Zenith SA has tapped former Chopard executive Jean-Frédéric Dufour as its new president and chief executive officer, effective June 1.
Dufour succeeds Thierry Nataf, who resigned from the LVMH Moët Hennessy-owned firm, effective May 1.
Previously, Dufour was head of product development for Chopard Watches and Jewelry, a position he held since 2001. His experience includes positions at Cie Genève, Swatch Group and Ulysse Nardin.
“Jean-Frédéric Dufour joins us with deep experience in the watchmaking industry, which will come as a strong asset for pursuing the worldwide development of the Zenith Manufacture,” said Philippe Pascal, president of LVMH’s watches and jewelry division.
Zenith, founded in 1865, specializes in luxury timepieces, made in its ateliers in Le Locle, Switzerland.
