Models at Emanuel Ungaro sported understated makeup, save for the bright red and fuchsia blend on their mouths.

“The fuchsia is very Ungaro,” said makeup artist Carole Lasnier, working for MAC, who used a mélange of Cherry pencil, Ruby Woo lipstick, Crimson Lipmix and bright fuchsia pigment.

Meanwhile, models’ hair was upswept into high, twisted ponytails.

“We wanted to do a very clean silhouette,” said hairstylist Laurent Philippon, working for Bumble and bumble. He used the brand’s Bb Does It All gel to help mold the rope-like effect.
