PARIS — “The look is very healthily, wealthily natural,” said makeup artist Val Garland backstage before the Giambattista Valli show. “It’s all about beautiful, hydrated skin.”
Working with MAC Cosmetics, she applied Mineralize Foundation on models’ faces and used a flesh-tone gloss, called Summer Sweetheart, on their eyelids and lips. Garland also employed a white pencil in eyes’ waterline.
“It just gives a futuristic element to a really natural makeup,” she explained, adding models’ brows were brushed and filled in.
Hairstylist Orlando Pita scraped their hair back and left it hanging tucked behind ears.
“It’s a very simple kind of straightforward look,” he said.
