LONDON–At Paul Smith, the beauty look was all about the morning after. (Envision a girl who had gone out the night before, slept at her boyfriend’s and then borrowed his clothes.)
Makeup artist Petros Petrohilos recreated the aura with a natural yet sexy flush. Using MAC Cosmetics, skin was powdered and then sprayed with water for dewiness. Vaseline was applied on eyelids, along with Ebony eye pencil. Models’ lips were rubbed with a towel to enhance a rosier look and then moisturized with conditioner. A blush – “like the flush you get when you are running” – was created with a mix of Pinch O’Peach and Pink Swoon, said Petrohilos.
Following on the boyfriend theme, hairstylist Peter Gray conceived a simple, luminous look, with hair casually hanging down around faces and a ruched effect at the back. He described it as being like ‘’when you tuck your hair inside the collar of your boyfriend’s coat.” Using Moroccan Oil’s Hydrating Styling Cream mixed with water, Gray blew hair dry and spritzed it with Glimmer Shine Spray before curling sections.
