PARIS — There was a Nineties vibe to the beauty look at Carven’s spring 2014 show.
“We got inspired from a picture of Liv Tyler in the Nineties, when she used to wear this side braid,” said hairstylist Romina Manenti, who gave models a thin braid at the top of their heads in place of a side part.
Manenti called style, which was created using Bumble and bumble products such as Sumo, “very natural” and “fresh.”
Makeup artist Nina Haverkamp emphasized models’ eyes with a black line.
“There’s no mascara, it’s not fancy,” she said, applying Shu Uemera and Laura Mercier color cosmetics. “It is not punky, it’s more elegant.”
