As always, beauty at Chloé was au naturel. “It’s just very simple,” said hairstylist Guido Palau, representing Redken, who had models’ hair washed, air dried, parted in a “messy” fashion then tucked behind their ears. “It’s a ‘no statement statement,’” said Palau, adding he believes the Chloé woman to be feminine and confident.
When it comes to her hair, “In its naïveté, it is quite sophisticated,” he added. Same was true for her makeup look, created by Diane Kendall, working with MAC Cosmetics, who used a minimum of color cosmetics to enhance models’ natural features. “They just wanted the girls to look fresh and beautiful,” she said.
