At the Victoria Beckham Dresses presentation on Sunday, makeup artist Francelle Daly created a minimal look for Lancôme, resulting in pale, nude lips; metallic, silvery eyes and shimmery skin.
Dick Tracy was the inspiration for the clothes, so Daly did a modern take on Thirties Hollywood glamour.
To create the look, she first applied Color Design Eyeshadow in Optic to the entire top lid out to the brow bone and added Color Design Eyeshadow in Crème Lustré to the lower lid. In the crease of the eye, Daly applied Ombre Magnétique in Silver — which is due to launch this fall — for a shiny, metallic flash. Hypnôse Drama Mascara was used on the top lashes.
The skin was luminous, thanks to a dusting of Ageless Minérale Powder in Translucent, and Blush Subtil in Miel Glace, a pinkish hue, was added for a touch of color on the cheekbones.
Daly dotted the lips with a concealer before applying L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rich Cashmere for the nude finish. A clear polish was applied to the nails, which were kept short and groomed.
Meanwhile, hairstylist Didier Malige did tousled chignons for the show. The hair was pulled up into messy French twists or disheveled updos, then pinned to the back of the head. Malige was sure to leave flyaways galore to complement the disheveled look.
Alberta Ferretti's "Rainbow Week" sweaters are back. The designer closed her #MFW show with a few day-of-the-week sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. #wwdfashion (📷: @delphineachard)
