PARIS — Elie Saab wanted a “young, fresh, pretty” look for models walking his couture runway, said hairstylist Orlando Pita.
He rolled a portion of hair on either side of their faces, then left it hanging loose in back.
“It’s just a slight movement; it’s not straight and it’s not too waved,” explained Pita. “[Elie Saab] wanted it to look effortless — like the girls did it themselves, not a couture hairdo.”
Gleaning inspiration from Saab’s floral fashion collection, makeup artist Tom Pecheux, who was working with MAC Cosmetics, applied a dégradé of pink and gray on models’ eyelids.
Top lashes got coatings of mascara, and cheeks were highlighted plus given a bit of contour and blush. Lips were painted a gentle pink.
