MILAN — Working with MAC Cosmetics, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury added an soupcon of androgyny to modernize a Twenties look for the Etro runway.
After foundation, MAC Cream Bronzer was applied underneath the cheekbones. MAC Eye Brows Crayon in Fling was used to slightly fill in the brows. A mix of three MAC Cream Eye shadows were used on the eyes for a shiny eyelid. MAC Eye Gloss was sealed over the colors for shine and a bit of chocolate brown mascara was applied just at the root.
Lips were treated with a bit of Sepia and then dabbed down with a touch of concealer and lip balm. “It’s almost like a wash of nothing,” explained Tilbury.
Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman also created an androgynous mix. Hair was pulled back into a strict, tight, one-side ponytail with a severe, combed-over part. The result was a polished look, aided by Wella Finish Styling Mirror Polish Shine Serum.
“I wanted to treat the hair in a graphic, sculptural way,” said Souleiman. “At the moment, I’m into very shiny hair.” The finishing touch was a blast of Wella Styling Stay Styled Finish Hair Spray.
