PARIS — Makeup artist Linda Cantello and hairstylist Franco Gobbi had chic travelers in mind when creating the beauty elements for Armani Privé’s couture show on Tuesday.
“It’s a bit eclectic,” said Cantello, who explained fabrics in the collection inspired the geometric shapes she drew in black over models’ eyes. And she painted their lips a glossy, ruby hue.
Gobbi loosely merged a couple of cultural references — Mexican and Asian — in the coif he conceived. This entailed hair slicked back, close to heads and a section of fan-like bangs out front. Products-wise he used Sebastian Shaper Fierce hairspray and light Moroccan oil.
