Bronzed beauties abounded backstage at BCBG Max Azria. Val Garland, for MAC, created a “fresh-from-vacation look that was all about gorgeous skin,” she said. “We wanted her to look sun-kissed, so we’re using contour, blush and bronzer.” She focused on the brows and skin, blending bronzer back into the temples for a dewy glow and brushing brows up and setting with hairspray.
Orlando Pita continued the breezy California theme with effortless, finger-combed hair. Using CHI Haircare products, he smoothed only the ends with an iron and added lift at the crown. “For a long time, we’ve been seeing these barrel waves, but it’s time to move on from that,” said Pita. “I think it’s quite attainable and simple to do at home.”
Nude nails completed the look. Miss Pop, for OPI, used the iconic shade Bubblebath, a pale pink, to give a hint of color while staying sheer. “It’s a nude that won’t give you mannequin hands and match your skin tone,” said Miss Pop. “It just freshens fingertips and makes them look really elegant for spring.”
