“It’s Kate Moss as Brigitte Bardot,” said lead MAC makeup artist Gordon Espinet. “Fresh, beautiful and young.”

Espinet first blended MAC Pro Powder Blush in Taupe and Pro Sculpt Sculpting Powder Pressed Powder to neutralize the eye area, then highlighted the eyelid with ProLongwear Eyshadows in Sweet Satisfaction and Carefree Pro. Seaside Cream Colour base, applied over the brow bone, also served as a highlighter, and RapidBlack Penultimate Eye Liner was used to create a retro-inspired wing shape on the upper lash line.

Complexions were kept “radiant” and “natural,” first perfected with Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation, then contoured under the cheekbones with Pro Powder Blush in Taupe and Pro Sculpt Sculpting Powder Pressed Powder.

Espinet used both MAC’s new What Comes Naturally Glamgloss and lipstick in Tanarama on lips.
Lead hair for the presentation was Laurent Philippon for Bumble, who began by prepping hair with Bumble and bumble Prep and Surf sprays. Philippon then used a curling iron to create loose waves by altering the curl as he went. To complete the look, he tied hair back in a loose, wrapped ponytail, leaving the texture soft and style a little undone.

“It has a Sixties vibe, but it’s contemporary,” said Philippon. “It’s almost romantic.”
