“Romantic with a rock and roll edge,” said hairstylist James Pecis, describing Blumarine’s dual-textured hairstyle characterized by wet, hair-sprayed sides and a dry crown.
Using Moroccanoil products, Pecis added Curl Defining Cream section-by-section to dry hair, building soft, loose texture towards the front with a large curling iron. Hairspray-coated fingertips were massaged into the roots for a “tough, rock and roll, at the club feeling,” Pecis said.
Finally, an elastic band matching the models’ hair color was threaded through hair at the back of the head to maintain a clean line and create a “harmonious, back of the head silhouette,” he said. Glimmer Shine Spray fixed flyaway ends.
Makeup artist Tom Pecheux was inspired by the collection’s play on minimal nudes, flesh tones, and peach shades that popped with “monochrome, minimal blacks and pastels,” he said. Cue the peach-colored eyelids, lips and cheeks.
Using MAC Cosmetics, skin was prepped with Face And Body Foundation. With fingertips, Barefaced and Stylish Me Blush were mixed onto the cheeks and the eye creases and then faded into the brow bone. Eyes were lightly lined in Gesso eye shadow and then slicked with a sheer coat of Mother of Pearl Pro Eye Gloss.
Haute & Naughty Lash coated top eyelashes and lips were washed in Runway Hit lipstick. Senior artist Keri Blair painted nails in beige-colored Nail Lacquer Skin mixed with matte topcoat for a “satiny-leather” effect
