For Cushnie et Ochs, Charlotte Tilbury focused on a smoky eye with a hint of color. “[The designers] wanted sensual eyes,” said Tilbury, “but with a modern, springlike texture.” Working with MAC, Tilbury used Studio Moisture Cream and Pro Concealer Palette where needed. Then, she applied Sculpting Cream in Richly Honed under the cheekbone and buffed it with a brush. The lashes were curled from lid to brow with Sparkle Shadow Nightlight. Tilbury used Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Permaplum on the water and lash line. To finish she used gloss at the center of lid and softly diffused it into the edges. Lips were topped with Lip Conditioner and a beige-y pink-tinted lip balm called Have a Lovely Day.
While it maybe just a simple, straight ponytail placed at the top of the ear, lead hairstylist Rodney Cutler wanted something that would represent the designers. Using Redken, Cutler applied Spray Starch to keep everything slick in addition to Fashion Work 12 Versatile Working Spray to keep the hair straight. “It’s all about a clean silhouette,” said Cutler.
To represent brass knuckles, manicurist Patricia Yankee worked with China Glaze products. The nail was shaped to a sharp point and was layered with milky white shades of Dandy Lyin’ Around and Moonlight. Before the tip of the nail, a brass cuff was wrapped at the top as if the nail was wearing a ring.
