The beauty look at Edun, appropriately enough, channeled rough-edged rock ’n’ roll.
“I was asked to create something Eighties punk rock with an asymmetric edge,” said James Pecis, working with Bumble and bumble at the show. He prepped hair with plenty of Surf Spray, then pulled hair back on one side, fastening it with hair clips placed abundantly and randomly. Next, he did a rough dry on the other side of the hair. Before showtime, he removed all of the hair clips on the head, spritzing with a bit of hairspray for hold.
Yadim, working for MAC Cosmetics at the show, prepped skin with Complete Comfort Cream, adding Face and Body Foundation. Where necessary, he perfected skin with Pro Conceal and Corrector. Next, he used Taupe blush to contour the cheeks, with Breezy blush on the apples of the cheeks and Pearl Cream on the high planes of the face to catch the light. On the eyes, he used Taupe blush from lids to eyebrows, lining the inner corners of the eye with MAC’s Pearl and Silver Pigment. Brows were filled in with Omega and Concrete eye shadows. Yadim skipped mascara, just curling lashes. Lips got clear Lip Conditioner and an application of Lip Erase right before hitting the runway.
Nails were finished with Jazz, a neutral beige by Essie.
