PARIS — For the Elie Saab show, makeup artist Tom Pecheux crafted a smoky eye with a navy cream base and black powder, echoing colors in the designer’s fashion collection. A lot of black mascara was applied to models’ top lashes and skin got a matte texture.

Hairstylist Orlando Pita blow-dried their tresses.

“It’s not too flat, not teased, just a natural volume,” he said backstage, before the show. “It is supposed to look like a gorgeous blow-dry… and in the back I straightened the bottom because I wanted to keep a certain youthfulness to it.”
