At Fendi, makeup artist Peter Philips drew a wing onto models’ lids with Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner and finished the look with Inimitable Waterproof Volume Mascara. Fendi designer Karl Lagerfeld wanted an allusion made to the white details in his fashion collection, so in subtle brushstrokes Philips painted the outer sides of models’ peepers that color. Otherwise their faces — given light a foundation — were left quite natural looking.
Hairstylist Sam McKnight alluded to Anjelica Huston as a muse for the strong, severe coif he created and called “somewhat-tribal, Victorian hair.” To get the effect, McKnight made a central part then gathered and twisted tresses coated with Sebastian Gel Forte. Two strands were pulled across models’ hairlines for a slightly Seventies feel.
