PARIS — “We’re doing very natural ponytails, very shiny, [of] sleek, beautiful quality,” said hairstylist Orlando Pita backstage at Giambattista Valli’s fall 2014 show.
He used products such as L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil and Infinium hairspray.
Pita said Valli “wanted clean, fresh girls – not too fussy.”
“It’s all about a reality check,” agreed makeup artist Val Garland, who was working with MAC Cosmetics. “It’s all about gorgeous, real skin; the skin is quite glossy. The lips are matte. The focus on the face you could say is a brushed-up brow.
“I wanted the girls to feel strong and a bit masculine,” she continued.
Garland applied Face and Body Foundation and a shine-mixing medium to give a glean. On lips, she went for a matte-mixing medium. Lashes were curled.
